Abstract

|
Extraskeletal chondrosarcoma was first described in the surgical pathologic record of Henry Hospital in 1919. Stout and Verner reported the cases and described that it is very rare in extremity. The treatment and clinical course depend on histologic appearance. The authors had experienced a patient with an extraskeletal chondrosarcoma of the thigh which involved the femoral vessel and nerve. The lesion was widely excised and the femoral artery was reconstructed with a bypass graft.
